campaign Statement
My name is Miranda Cristofani, please vote for me for Associate National Executive Director (ANED) of the Art Directors Guild.
I am for every member. A union that is responsive and respectful towards its members is one that stands strong, and I will lead by example.
I listen. As a Board member, Council member, and committee leader, I've listened to every member, every craft, and looked for immediate and lasting solutions. As ANED I will hear you, and work to meet your needs.
I am honest. I act with integrity and speak truth to power. As a Trustee, I've vigorously advocated for spending that is respectful of the dues our members invest into their union. I seek facts and prioritize democracy, accountability, transparency and inclusion.
I am a negotiator and organizer. I stood face-to-face with Carol Lombardini across the table at the 2018 AMPTP Basic Negotiations and won breakthrough gains with my bargaining unit for Local 871. Taking this experience to the ADG, I created and co-chaired our AD Craft Negotiations Committee, strategizing proposals the ADG took to the 2024 bargaining table.
I am prepared. I've trained in Labor Law, Contract Negotiation, IATSE Leadership and Strategy, Big Open Negotiations, and the IATSE Officer Institute, gaining skills from Cornell University, Berkeley Law Center, and the IATSE Training Trust. I am ready to stand our ground in negotiations.
I am an advocate. I co-authored the grassroots "Reel Equity" campaign that brought major wage increases to Local 871 Art Coordinators in the 2021 negotiations, paving the way for subsequent gains by IATSE Hollywood Locals 44 and 892. I have led workshops that build recognition for our crafts internationally, collaborating with workers worldwide at professional symposiums and conferences.
I am on your team. I believe in member-led negotiations, collaboration and compromise. I will work to strengthen our bargaining power, and be a conduit between the IATSE and our local, with clear and transparent communication to and from.
I have a vision. I see and plan for a future where every ADG craft has national jurisdiction, Production Designers have an Occupation Code, workers control the terms of AI, our bargaining power is elevated and unrivaled, cross-craft solidarity strengthens our protections, and our members' skills and talent are what steer our industry forward through changing tides.
I am a fellow working creative. I am a Production Designer and Supervising Art Director, recently nominated for an ADG award for the Feature Film / Variety Special category. I put my crews' needs and rights at the top of all business. I treat every member of my crew as a collaborator and fight to get them a great deal, above scale rates, and what they deserve.
I am a leader. I lead with courage, knowledge and love.
I am Miranda Cristofani, and I am the best candidate for the Associate National Executive Director of the Art Directors Guild. Please vote for me.

campaign Statement
It is always darkest before the dawn. Our members, below the line employees across the USA, are experiencing the sharpest downturn in Entertainment Industry employment in recent history: work is being offshored to other countries, non-union work and AI is threatening our crafts, and Studios/Producers are holding new content hostage, for now. A plan with action, organizing and strategy will strengthen our union and give us leverage to bring back work, negotiate with power. It cannot be business as usual at the ADG, I am the change you want to see.
My name is Miranda Cristofani, vote for me for Associate National Executive Director and guarantee progress. I have the courage, knowledge and compassion to make change and progress for every member, in all formats, across all crafts.
While at the IATSE General Executive Board meeting this year the themes were clear: educate, organize, negotiate and grieve. The strong relationships I have with IATSE’s Mike Miller, the Hollywood 13 Locals BAs, labor leaders and IATSE members, together with a strategic plan, will manifest our collective goals.
Campaigns I will work on in office -
Production Designer Occupation Code (PDOC) - engage strategy developed in the AD Negotiation committee that guarantees the Studios/Producers come to the table to address a PDOC. Separating the OCs makes it possible to negotiate different issues unique to each craft, serving PDs, ADs and AADs.
National Jurisdiction – Establish all crafts Jurisdiction in the Charter with the IATSE, together with Joel Cohens plan to put a Steward in every State and responsibly organizing from the inside, I believe National Jurisdiction for all our crafts is possible.
State and Federal Tax incentives – Lobby Sacramento and Washington with members telling their stories; collect and present data on how the industry funds businesses, and workers in the City and State, and work with IATSE to mandate a percentage of production be in the USA if distribution is going to continue in the USA.
Endorse Single-Payer Health Care – Endorse Cal Care and National single payer health care. Health care funding is the biggest negotiation point for the AMPTP /IATSE. If funding health care wasn’t part of negotiations we would significantly move the needle on other important issues. Studio/Producers would return to work in the USA if they didn’t have to pay for our health care. Finally, imagine not losing health care ever, no matter how many hours you have.
AI Negotiations 2027 – Plan now to build upon the current Artificial Intelligence (Machine Learning) provisions with precise and specific restrictions, and control of AI in the hands of our members. Vocalize the needs and decisions of our ADG AI Task Force to the IATSE and actively engaged with IATSEs AI Committee.
I’m ready to have meaningful and difficult conversations, I am ready to change minds and do what it takes to protect our members and make progress with a plan. I’m ready to be your Associate National Executive Director.
Please use your voice and vote!

campaign Statement
My name is Miranda Cristofani; I am a Production Designer and a member of IATSE for almost 20 years. Second generation union, my Dad was a member of TAG Local 839 and my Mum, an artist, took me to labor union strikes and protests in London when I was a kid. I'm running for ANED of IATSE Local 800.

What we’re facing as a union, and as a country, is difficult right now. However, when people come together through shared values and common goals, powerful things happen. I believe with effective communication we can strengthen our solidarity and build security for our future.

I will commit to getting work back to the States, creating a Production Designer occupation code, establishing National Jurisdiction, grieving non union violations, building our crafts' control of AI, advocating for DEI, and more, while utilizing a member-led approach and being the conduit between the members and the IATSE.

Everything we can do at the negotiation table is determined by what we do outside the bargaining room. I will put in the work to build our member-led union power and collaborate with our sister Locals and IATSE toward solutions to the issues that affect us daily.

Communication, Collaboration and Commitment. This is my promise for our future together, as your next Associate National Executive Director.

Although I'm not on a slate or ticket with any candidate, I support Joel Cohen for NED for a multitude of reasons.
Most importantly to me - he is honest and moral, represents every member fairly and does whats best for all members. Our NED is our chief negotiator. Joel has been vigilant in bringing elapsed contracts up to date, has been successful in increasing protections in negotiations, improving the contracts and working conditions for our members and follows up with accuracy and in a timely manner.
Joel is the only candidate who has increased our bargaining power by successfully negotiating contracts resulting in better working conditions, persisting with dedication and consistency, and has a record to prove it.
This is an important election. I believe in a member-led Local, that means a union truly led by you, the members. Your vote is imperative in solving the issues that we face today.
Reach out, call me with any questions about the candidates and the future of your Union.
Your vote matters! Take a minute today and vote. Thank you !
